Q: What is BodyPHIT 360™?

A: A revolutionary new training system specifically designed to burn fat while increasing cardiovascular endurance, strength and overall body fitness. Our proprietary Performance High-Intensity Interval Training (PHIT) training system uses the scientifically proven concept of interval training to create a 50-minute, high-intensity workout that is guaranteed to challenge you every day.

Q: How does it work?

A: BodyPHIT 360™ workouts are based on the fact that strength training and high intensity interval training are more effective at reducing body fat than longer duration steady state aerobic exercise (jogging). One reason for this is due the the "after burn" effect (EPOC – Excess Post-Exercise Oxygen Consumption) wherein your body continues to burn additional calories and metabolize fat for upwards of 24 hours after the workout is complete.

Q: Are there any additional benefits of high intensity interval training?

A: Most definitely to include:

  • Increased Aerobic Capacity: the amount of oxygen your body can use is increased so your overall aerobic capacity can increase faster than with low intensity endurance exercise.
  • Increased Lactate Threshold: your ability to handle lactic acid buildup in your muscles increases.
  • Improved Insulin Sensitivity: your muscles more readily process glucose instead of glucose going to your fat stores.
  • Anabolic Effect: your ability to develop lean muscle mass is increased whereas the opposite occurs with long-duration steady state cardio which is catabolic.

Q: What if I'm not "in shape" this too intense for me?

A: Not at all...the BodyPHIT 360™ "work until you can't - rest until you can" training philosophy ensures the workouts are suitable for ALL levels of fitness and conditioning as everyone maintains their own pace. Additionally, our coaches emphasize proper form to maintain an injury-free training environment for all students.

Q: What should I bring to my FREE class?

A: Water, a towel and a desire to workout hard! Your free class pass is valid for 10 days from the date you register online.
